And I have never been more warmly greeted. She flipped rugs out on the floor so we could get a good idea of what they will look like while charming us with life stories. 
The tote bags she creates with her weavings are wonderful.

The equipment is where you can see it. It's amazing what goes in to the process a creating good spirits.

We went inside...
...and what a surprise. Not just veggies. The first thing to catch my eye was a small room to the right with a small loom set up...and wool...and needle felting. Too cool! There were all sorts of goodies: souvenirs, lamb meat, and goat cheese. I got the chive. Delicious!
Who knew a tiny building could hold so much fibrous deliciousness.
I found this lovely yarn for Rachel's crab.
Then I found these marvelous buttons to go with a cardigan made from my friend Martha's wool...a lovely natural beige. No picture of the wool but here are the buttons!
Do we look happy? Yes, I think so. Even Michelle got in on the picture.

We drove around the island to see all the scarecrows. This was serious business because we had to vote which one we thought the best.
It's hard to read the sign in the picture. It says, "Island Goddess".
This was a trompe l'oeil wall we passed. Fantastic, eh?

We stopped at Saunders for lunch at Rye Beach. Don't let the modest outside fool you. The restaurant was huge with many rooms and a five star menu!
This was the view from our dining room. I had one of the best spinach salads I've had in over ten years. The seafood sampler was to die for.
Once in Maine, we found the prison store in York. Most of the items are hand made by prisoners. The bonus was being able to get a picture of this old prison truck.
The setting was idyllic. Imagine waking up to this view!
Michelle and I walked over to the gazebo in the morning. She is paying close attention to what's in the pond.
Swans can be aggressive and Michelle doesn't want to be lunch!
To top off our stay at this fabulous inn, Bruce got a coupon for a free bucket of balls at their driving range. Yes, they have a golf course, too! It was a good way to stretch the muscles before driving all day.
So, here she sits accusingly (you can tell by the look in her eyes and her pouty mouth - if she had one) waiting for me to finish her.
What a cute crab! My friend Peggy got me interested in this pattern from Knitty.com. When I took a close look at it and remembered that the TV show "The Deadliest Catch" is one of my daughter's and fiance`s favorite show, I knew I had to make it. I would toss it in my Christmas box. It would be a little surprise for the house.
The poor little legless thing! I have done four legs. Four more to go and I can attach them. The timing is perfect. I will have her finished before I go to Maine. We will have our picture taken together all over Maine. Then she will come back with me and have a place of honor on my fishing net in the den.
