We decided to take Route 1 up the coast once we hit New Hampshire. We couldn't wait to get a taste and smell of the ocean!
We stopped at Saunders for lunch at Rye Beach. Don't let the modest outside fool you. The restaurant was huge with many rooms and a five star menu!
This was the view from our dining room. I had one of the best spinach salads I've had in over ten years. The seafood sampler was to die for.
Once in Maine, we found the prison store in York. Most of the items are hand made by prisoners. The bonus was being able to get a picture of this old prison truck.
