One side note that you never hear, is that it stinks. We opened the window when we first got to the island and thought we would die! Up on the hillside with the wind blowing, you do not notice it. But right at the beach it's awful.

Antelope Island, Utah
We wanted to see the Great Salt Lake when we left Salt Lake City. Antelope Island is north of SLC, so off we went. We drove the causeway hoping to see the bison, antelope, and other widelife. I ended up seeing one jack rabbit...and tons of mosquitoes! They were in swarms and you could see "clouds" of them. We figure they must have eaten and bison and antelope.

One side note that you never hear, is that it stinks. We opened the window when we first got to the island and thought we would die! Up on the hillside with the wind blowing, you do not notice it. But right at the beach it's awful.

Antelope Island.. sure is pretty sky.. even if it does not smell like lilacs and rosebuds. I just can't get over the size of it!
